Beginning the 2006 Season


Now beginning his eleventh season with the New York Giants, Amani has proven himself to be both durable and the most productive wide receiver in the New York Giants' history. His numerous accomplishments span ten years as a receiver and six years as a punt returner.

Regular season franchise records:

Amani holds the franchise record for the most career pass receptions with 530 catches.

He tops the career yardage leaders with 7797 yards.

Amani is #1 with 82 receptions in 2002, #2 with 79 catches in 1999, #3 with 78 receptions in 2000 and is tied for #8 place with 72 receptions in 2001.

Amani holds the franchise record for the most yards gained in a single season with 1343 yards gained in 2002 and is #4 on the franchise list with 1183 yards gained in 1999. He is #9 with 1094 yards in 2000, #10 (tied with Homer Jones) with 1057 yards in 2003 and #11 with 1054 yards gained in 2001.

He holds the record for the most 100-yard receiving games with 21 and the most consecutive games with a pass reception with 98 catches between 1998-2004.

Over a three-year span, Amani is #1 with 232 catches for the period 2000-2002. He's #2 with 229 receptions between 1999-2001, #3 with 217 catches between 2001-2003 and #4 with 196 receptions between 2002-2004.

His 204 yards gained vs. Indianapolis on 12/12/02 tie him for third place with the most yards gained in a single game. He's #6 with 193 yards gained in 2000 against Jacksonville.

Amani is third on the franchise lists with 44 career touchdowns.

Amani is tied for fourth place with the most touchdowns scored in a single game with three touchdowns scored against Indianapolis in 2002.

He has at least 1000 yards receiving for five consecutive seasons and more than 50 receptions and 600 yards in seven consecutive seasons.

In the post season:

Amani holds the franchise record with the most career yards per reception with an average of 14.4 yards per catch.

He is also #1 with four receiving touchdowns in his post-season career and #1 with three touchdowns in a single game.

Amani is in second place for the most post-season receiving yards in a career with 302 yards.

He is in third place for the most receptions in a single game with eight catches and the most receiving yards with 136 yards, both against San Francisco on 1/5/03.

Amani is in fourth place with 21 post-season career receptions.

Amani's longest post-season reception was a 46-yard catch thrown by Kerry Collins on 1/5/03.

As a punt returner:


Amani holds the record for the longest punt return in franchise history, 87 yards and a touchdown against Buffalo on 9/1/96.

He tops the list with the highest average return in one season, with 16.6 yards based on 18 returns in 1996.

Amani Toomer holds the record for the longest punt return in franchise history, 87 yards and a touchdown against Buffalo on 9/1/96.

He tops the list for the highest average return in one season, with 16.6 yards based on 18 returns in 1996.

Amani is in 2nd place with 2 touchdowns in one season and 3rd place with 3 touchdowns in his career as a return man.
